Strathcona's Diamond Gala Dinner: A Century Of Brilliance

Only a few weeks until our sold-out Diamond Gala Dinner: A Century Of Brilliance. We look forward to celebrating with past, present and future parents, teachers, alumnae, and honoured VIP guests at a celebratory evening commemorating 100 remarkable years of Strathcona's unstoppable journey.
Join us on Saturday 23 March 2024 from 6.30pm – 10.30pm for an evening filled with historical significance, fun, music, and cherished memories, open to all who have played a role in Strathcona's history.
The night promises to be a genuine celebration of the school's glorious history. Attendees will be treated to canapes and drinks on arrival, a delicious 3-course dinner accompanied by a selection of beverages, historical tributes, keynote speakers, live entertainment from The Baker Boys Band and abundant opportunities to connect with old and new friends.
Strathcona Family Association (SFA) Parent Welcome Drinks
The Strathcona Family Association warmly invite parents to join them for drinks on the Deck to celebrate the commencement Strathcona's Centenary year. Drinks and canapés will be served.
Junior School parents welcome from 6pm following their information session. Year 8 parents welcome from 6pm to 7.30pm prior to their information session.
Year 7 parents welcome to join the drinks following the conclusion of their information session at 7pm. All other Senior year levels and ELC parents welcome any time from 6pm.

Parent Seminar Series 2024: Biohacking Learning
This session will explore how parents can help their children to learn and to increase motivation & concentration. Andrew will discuss ideal learning times and how to identify best (and worst times) for learning. Neurochemistry and learning will be considered so we can understand why goals are good, but systems are better. This session will also reflect on how parents can build upon learning strengths.
Andrew Fuller is a clinical psychologist, family therapist, author, speaker and creator of Learning Strengths ™.
Andrew has worked with over 4,000 schools in Australia, NZ, Asia and the UK and with more than 500,000 young people on core elements of resilience. Having worked with people who were at their last hopes, Andrew’s mission is to help people create futures they can fall in love with.
Andrew Fuller is an Honorary Fellow at the Uni of Melbourne and has been a scientific consultant for the ABC and a regular presenter on Radio National. He has established programs for neuroscience and education, neurodiversity, and the promotion of mental health in schools, substance abuse prevention, and the reduction of violence and bullying, suicide prevention programs and for assisting homeless young people.

Year 7 Family Picnic/Sausage Sizzle
To kick off the year, before your daughters go off to camp, the Community Relations Office, in conjunction with the Strathcona Family Association (SFA), would like to invite Year 7 families to a casual picnic on the Senior School Oval.
This will be a great opportunity to meet other families in your year level and your daughter's House.
The SFA will also be hosting a sausage sizzle.BYO your picnic basket and blanket for a fun evening.

Strathcona Annual Dads' Pub Night
We invite all Strathcona dads and caregivers to the Strathcona Family Association annual dads' pub night at the Hawthorn Hotel.
$30 per person for finger food and drinks at bar prices.This is always a fun evening and a great opportunity, particularly for new parents, to relax and meet other dads and have a few laughs.

Strathcona's Mums' Night Out!
The Strathcona Family Association Mothers' subcommittee invite you to join them at the Hawthorn Hotel for an evening out with other Strathcona mums and caregivers.
A great casual opportunity to get together and they encourage new parents to join them.
A private room and bar has been booked for your enjoyment.
$30 per person for finger food and a glass of bubbles with drinks then at bar prices.
